FOR VISITORS TO KOREA
How to book a Korean restaurant with your AI
No app, no account — just ask, in your own language
Planning a trip to Korea and want a table at a real local restaurant, not a tourist trap? You don't need to install a Korean reservation app, read a Korean menu, or speak Korean. Connect Yumi once to the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Cursor — and just ask. Yumi finds the right spot, sends the booking request to the restaurant, and the owner confirms it back to you, all inside the same chat.
Four steps, start to table
- 01
Connect Yumi to your AI
In ChatGPT, search “HeyYumi” and hit Connect. In Claude or Perplexity, paste https://mcp.heyyumi.ai/mcp as a custom connector. It's a one-time, free sign-in with Google — no new app to install.
- 02
Ask in your own language
Type like you'd text a friend: “Find a Korean BBQ near Hongdae and book a table for 2 tonight at 7.” Yumi reads your language and answers in the same one. It searches real, verified local venues — not tourist traps.
- 03
Give your name and phone
So the restaurant can reach you about your booking, you share your name and phone number — any country works. If your number isn't Korean, you also add an email, because we send the confirmation and the view/cancel link by email (we can't text international numbers). There's no deposit to reserve.
- 04
The owner confirms
Yumi sends your request straight to the real restaurant owner. Your booking starts as a request and becomes confirmed once the owner approves — you get the result back in the chat, and by email if you're abroad.
Common questions
Can I book a Korean restaurant without speaking Korean?
Yes. Ask your AI in your own language and Yumi finds the place and books the table for you. English is live today and more languages are rolling out, and search and reservation also accept romanized names like Gangnam, Seongsu, or Hongdae.
Do I need to download a Korean app or create a new account?
No separate app. You connect Yumi once to an AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Cursor — with a one-time free Google sign-in. The whole booking happens inside that chat.
Do I need a Korean phone number?
No. You enter your own phone number from any country so the restaurant owner can reach you about the booking (for example, to confirm or if plans change). If it isn't a Korean number, you also add an email, because we send the confirmation and the view/cancel link by email — we can't text international numbers.
Do I have to pay a deposit to reserve?
No. Your reservation starts as a request and nothing is charged to book. The restaurant owner approves it, and it's confirmed back to you in the chat.
Which cities in Korea does this work in?
Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, and Jeju for now, with coverage expanding across Korea. If an area isn't covered yet, Yumi tells you instead of guessing.
Is it free to use?
Personal use through your AI is free — about 20 questions a day. You only ever send a booking request, so nothing is locked in until the owner says yes.
No Korean, no new app, no deposit. Just the AI you already use, and a table waiting for you in Korea.
